23 – 29 July

08:30 Getting up
08:45 Work is starting
09:00-13:00 Helping  with the activities
13:00-14:00 Lunch
14:00-17:00 Activities
17:00-17:30 Evening meal
Then Pub time!

In the middle of the week we went to St. Alban’s.  It’s a town near our camp site

30 July – 5 August This is Sunrise Week.   This week was getting rather exciting.  The most memorable day was on the Wednesday 1st August – the century of the Scout Movement.  We get up at 4 a.m. to watch a sunrise.  Then at 8 a.m. we re-newed our Scout promise and start to work.  That was a really sunny day, full of nice moments.  At the end of the day, we all joined a big camp fire.

2 August We went to the Jamboree.  This was really a very good day.  The sun was shining and the weather very good, so we enjoyed every minute being on the 21st Jamboree.  We met Scouts from Russia there and Scouts from all over the world, and, in the evening, we went to the pub!

19, 11 12 August Typical camp life.  On the Sunday we went to a cinema with the crew to watch Transformers.

14 August London with Alex, a crew member.  We decided to look at another side of the city so we get out of the Underground at Marsde station.  Then we went to the Tower using normal streets without tourists and after visiting the Tower we went to Hyde Park across the River Thames.  We visited the London Eye, Westminster, Big Ben and Oxford Street . Then we returned to the camp site via Alex’s house and did some light work.

15 – 18 August Enjoying last days at camp site.  A little work and rather nice weather.  During the whole time we were engaging ourselves in activities that Phasels Wood provides – climbing, abseiling, cube course and many other things.  The crew was really cute! We enjoyed being at Phasels Wood Activity Centre.

19 August We leave Phasels Wood and go to Don’s (Collishaw) house.  There we have dinner and go to bed.

20 August Don and his wife go with us to Brighton and then to the cliffs of Dover for the whole day.  It was very exciting and we enjoyed it very much!

25 August We go to the forest to have a walk then we go to the other town, East Grinstead.  It was very interesting to go to the other town by ourselves and we really had some fun.

We really enjoyed our stay in England.
